Fig Halloumi Chili Mini Parcel Pop-'ems
I wanted to come up with something just right for New Year’s nibbles & treats; a salty-savory-sweet-bite with a nice hit of spice in the ending, as well as a very pleasing crunch. A palate pleaser to usher in the New Year. if there ever was one I tried making these with brie and marmalade, and while it had its perks, the chewy seared halloumi paired with the sweet seedy fig jam is my favorite iteration.
34-42 wonton wrappers
1 8oz. block of Halloumi cheese, cubed and seared
1/3 -1/2 cup fig jam
1/4-1/3 c chili crisp, or some appropriation
1-2 tbsp your favorite cooking oil.

place a cube of cheese, a smear of fig jam, and a dab of chili crisp in the center of the eggroll wrapper diamond. Tuck and fold, as if wrapping a lovely gift.
Shallow fry for 30 seconds on each side.
Drain on a paper lined tray.
